冰岛的旅游景点很多,实在很难选择,如果然我本人接待游客,我会首先带他们参观离冰岛首都雷克雅未克50公里国会山遗址,因为它是有双重意义的,一方面它的地址构造很独特,另一方面是它的历史意义,它可能是世界上最古老的议会之一,是公元930年成立的,自然景观非常漂亮,那个地方从地理学上讲还是欧洲板块和北美板块结合的地方,现在这两个板块每年都以两厘米的速度分离,所以也可以所冰岛的国土面积每年都在增加。离它不远还有一个黄金瀑布和间歇喷泉英文名叫geyser,已经成为世界上所有间歇喷泉的专用名称。它也入选了联合国教科文组织的世界文化遗产目录。

The Oldest Parliament Relic of the World
It is really very hard to choose a travel destination because there are so many scenic spots in Iceland. If I were to receive travelers, I would like to take them to the Parliament Relic, which is 50 kilometers away from the capital of Iceland — Reykjavik. This has a double-faced significance: One is for its unique geological structure, and the other lies in its historical significance. It is perhaps one of the oldest parliaments in the world which was built in AD 930. The natural landscape there is also very beautiful. From an geographic angle, here is a place which links the European plate and the North American continent. Nowadays, the two plates are separating from each other at a speed of two centimeters each year. So we can say that the area of Iceland is expanding every year. Not very far off, there is a Golden Waterfall and a geyser, which has become a special name for the world’s natural springs of hot water sometimes rising suddenly into the air. They both were selected into the list of the world cultural relics by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Culture Organization).
